I have never been to a beach wedding before. The ceremony is on the beach and then the reception is indoors somewhere I believe, maybe at a restaurant. The wedding is in North Carolina in September. Not sure what is appropriate to wear, especially for shoes. Suggestions, please!
I would go with a skirt or dress & make sure you have a shrug or shawl in case it’s not all that nice.
Flat or low thick heel & close toed – easy to walk in sand & won’t get any in your shoe. barefoot an option for the ceremony BUT need shoes after & sand may be chilly.

Because the weather in NC will still be summer-like in September, you should wear a sun-dress. For shoes – wear strappy sandals.
Here's a few ideas –

A nice sundress with some strappy flat sandals is always an appropriate choice for a beach wedding. Avoid high-heeled sandals as they will sink into the sand.
